Since 2006 I have been involved with a number of voluntary projects to do with the church and community. 6-Sigma Process Improvement Specialist ('05-'06) Use 6-Sigma methodology to improve processes around the organisation – particularly within IT Business Systems. Senior Retail Systems Manager ('03-'05) Accountable for all hardware & software across a retail estate of 310 shops. Main priority was to reduce the number of disparate systems which had resulted from Vodafone expanding rapidly by taking over smaller telecommunications companies. Instrumental in starting the EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) replacement project which resulted in the selection and implementation of new tills, hardware and software (Torex) throughout the retail estate. Senior Application Support Manager ('01-'03) Led a number of teams supporting a variety of application software systems throughout Vodafone. Applications involved call-centre support systems, stock control systems and the Vodafone customer website.

Consultant / Principal Consultant ('89-'01) Involved as a Professional Services Consultant working on customer sites to implement Walker Financial software applications. Responsibilities included
As the millennium approached, a number of Walker customers were concerned about the effect of the date change to their computer systems. I devised a program which checked software for potential Y2K traps which generated £750,000 in revenue.
